Organization– Posters and Other Big Things

I always had a hard time figuring out a way to store my big posters.   Most teachers in my building take 2 big pieces of tagboard, staple around three edges and then tape over the staples.  That’s what I did for years, but I hated it.  The posters would always rip, stuff would always fall out.  So let me tell you that I was THRILLED when I found this on Amazon.

Deluxe Bulletin Board Storage Pocket Chart

Carson-Dellosa Publishing CD-5638 Clear Vinyl Bulletin Board Decorations Storage Bag with Carry Handles, 30x24

They are called the deluxe bulletin board storage pockets. They are awesome!  They are a little more expensive, but I think they are totally worth it!  I used this link to purchase them, and they were a little bit cheaper.

I still need a couple more, but I tried to sort out my posters by month.  I put all of my posters, bulletin board pieces, games, etc. into each pocket.  I love that they are clear and have handles!

  1. These are so nice. I have everything jammed into a flat file and I have to take everything out to find anything. I am glad you recommend these-totally looking into it!

  3. Our Reading Lab uses these for their posters. I think I need to invest in some. I have stuff falling out of everywhere! I did see a cool idea of storing borders in (cleaned out) icing cans or round clear plastic containers (saw it on Pinterest). I think I may do that!

  4. I love those! They would be perfect in my system. Right now I have three shoe organizer shelves turned sideways and I store everything inside. A lot of my posters fall out so I stuff them in big books. Your pocket organizers would definitely help. Thanks for sharing.

  6. These look fabulous! I'm ordering some right now. Right now I'm using a couple of large cardboard boxes made for storing bulletin board items, posters, etc, but they are big and heavy and tearing and haven't held up to my moving rooms every year. Thanks for sharing!

  7. I love those! I use large art portfolios I bought about 17 years ago. I have 5 portfolios organized by seasons and the 5th one is for calendar/clipart. But I think it's time to get these :)

  11. I use those bags too! I love that they have handles. My classroom storage closet has a long bar in it so I hang the bags on hangers and store them that way.

  13. I've thought about purchasing these but not sure how I would store them. Do they stand up on their own? Do you hang them? I currently use the boxes but don't like them. How would you suggest storing them!

  14. Thank you so much for posting this--I have been searching forever for something sturdy. I have cardboard poster boxes but they only lasted three years before ripping.
