ReplyDeleteI've been a fan of Deanne's on TPT for some time now. It's hard to pick just 1 activity but if I had to pick just1 it would be the Gingerbread man unit. My students have a thing for the Gingerbread man this year and I find all her activities so creative.

ReplyDeleteI headed one over to BTP too. Amazing! It is great resources like this that are going to make my first year of teaching so much easier. I really liked the printable guided reading books because not all schools are lucky enough to have a school library of them. At least I know I would have some for my students.

Now on to her Christmas Math and Literature fun! So, so far I am a huge fan on the Thanksgiving Math and Literature fun lesson, however, Im sure I will love all of her plans! I didnt know Kim Adsit ha sa facebook page, but now I do! I love all of her lesson plans on TPT, I would love to use some of her lessons in my class!I love Wendy's poetry journal! ReplyDeleteMy students loved the turkey glyph! We did a sharing circle and they enjoyed seeing everyone feathers and different features. I've had a lot of additions to my classroom in the last couple weeks and it actually turned out to be a great activity for the students to get to know more about each other.
On Busy Teacher Printables I liked the free winter observations. My students have just started to enjoy the winter weather and this would be a great activity to do with them outside.

ReplyDeleteI use Deanna's Templates for Reading Workshop & Reading Responses. I find these very kinder friendly and I have even enlarged a few using our poster maker and use them with every book we read. I also have used Kim's Reading is Fun! Reproducibles for Comprehension Strategies and I do the same thing.
I bought both of these and find they complement each other well! They are all easy for the students to use (even the ones who have trouble writing) and help me remember to cover all those important aspects of the books we read daily.
Wendy's materials are new to me, but after browsing I like how she makes all of the materials very user friendly and easy to follow. I feel so busy lately and would love anything that is easy and helpful to me and my students :).
