American Symbols

My first day back was a great success! The kids were so excited to have me back – I was feeling pretty special :)

We started our unit on American Symbols unit this week.  I made this little freebie game for you all {and me!} to review/introduce American Symbols.  I have a map of snowy (yes, it snowed today) ND, but left a blank page so you could add your own map if you would like! Click on the picture to download!

  3. Thanks, Kathleen! I just downloaded it and love the pictures. My class really enjoys that kind of pocket chart game. For future reference, you might want to change the spelling of "capital" to "Capitol" Building. Other than that, it is amazing!

  6. so glad you are finally back. I agree, it is just as much work being gone (if not more) than being there. Thanks for the freebie, I can't wait to use it:) Take care!

    Thank you for sharing!
Take it easy this week... your class/grade level and school have moved on with out you... leaving you with piles of stuff to go thru and file! Go slow and remember to take care of yourself.

  13. I am a school librarian, this is a great game for my K-1st graders. I also adapted the activity for my 2-5th graders. They play the game as a cooperative learning quiz game. Super idea! I am glad that you are also sharing about your activities on your blog. You are an organized and creative person.
