Phonemic Fun!

Here is a fun and easy phonemic game that you can play with your kinders at any time of the year!

You will need a bag of some sort - it can be a gift bag, or a bag like this:

You could decorate it all cute with some puffy paint and ribbons.  Since I'm on vacation, I don't have access to the supplies! I'll try to make one up when I get home!

You also need some small manipulatives or picture cards.  I really love these teaching tubs from Lakeshore Learning.  They come in handy for so many things!

And finally, you need this little diddy:

(Click on the image if you would like to download this to put in the bag or attach to the bag!)

What do you think? Sounds fun, huh?

Sounds like a fun project and cute tune. We just posted something very similar last week, but do it for homework and the kids LOVE it!!

Thank you for the great idea. I send the "Mystery Bag" home, but this will be a great variation. Hope you are having a WoNdErFuL vacation!

They have bags that would be perfect for this activity at the Dollar Tree! Super cute colors too! I bought some and wasn't sure what I was going to do with them yet...now I know! :-) Thank you!

I love this idea. I have a bunch of plastic items left over from a former reading series and this would be perfect.

Thanks for sharing the cute idea! I do something similar with shapes as an intro to my shapes unit. The kids love "feeling around" and guessing what the shape could be. I think this activity will be a hit in my class this coming school year!
