Alphabet Chants!

One of my most popular blog posts has been my post about sight words and sight word chants.  You can find that post {here}.

I found some chants on the web, retyped them and added them to popsicle sticks.  I choose from the sight word chants throughout the day, and the kids LOVE them.

I knew I needed something for the alphabet, so I started hunting for alphabet chants.  I found some on one of my very favorite {old} websites….Little Giraffes!  If you have never been to this website before, you must check it out – there are tons of great resources there.

So, here’s what I did…

alpha chants 1

I used her sight word chants, typed them up, and added a corresponding picture to each one.  I did change a few of them as I went, but many of them are the same.

I didn’t put them on popsicle sticks this time though.  I simply printed them on cardstock, and laminated them.  They’re pretty sturdy, and if they do get bent, it’s easy to just print them out again!

Does this look like something you can use this year?  You can grab it {here} or click on the image below!

PS – I would love a little note if you download! Comments make the blogging world go ‘round!

Oh, I used an empty Crystal Light container to store them!

  4. This is such a great idea. We use the Phonics Chant to teach the ABCs at our school but it can be very easily adapted to our curriculum. Thanks for sharing the idea and your expertise in making it!

  14. Thanks for posting this. I love the simplicity to laminating the strips instead of writing or taping of mod-podging to Popsicle sticks. I love your blog. You do such great things. My pre-schoolers benefit from you! Thanks again.

  27. Last year my husband left me just because i caught him cheating on me with another woman in his house, ever since then he stop calling me, text me and even come to my house to ask of me. I was so mad and angry with myself that i wish i knew i won't have went to his place but now he is back to me through the help of Dr Ben, who uses his God gifted power to help people rearrange their relationship. i contacted Doc and explain everything to him, after explaining to him he told me what to do and i did it then he cast a love spell to bring him back to me. to my greatest surprise after 24hours my husband called me and started begging me to accept him back. If you want your lover back contact Doc now,(drbenharbalhome@gmail.com or whatsapp: +18287990994
