Stop.the.presses.  I just LOVE a good book about books – don’t you?!  One of my sweet parents gave me this book, and I love it so much!

The Book Monster book is great for all ages, and is a great stepping stone for teaching genres. 

The adorable book monster loves to eat, devour, indulge in all kinds of books!  I love how this book (and the monster) encourages kids to try out all different kinds of books.  Your students will be excited to learn about all different types of books and be a book monster themselves after hearing this story!!     My favorite genre is probably realistic fiction (although it's hard to choose a favorite)! :o) This book looks absolutely adorable so I guess if I don't win I'll HAVE to buy a copy! :o)

    I am not sure I actually have a favorite... there are so many great genres out there!!! My personal kiddos are really into fairy/folk tales and nursery rhymes at the moment though!

    My favorite genre ... for me historical romance (the nice kind, not the smut LOL)
    For kids- it was fiction, but I am starting to "get into" non-fiction thanks to CCSS, especially around my thematic units.

    Looks like a great book! My favorite personal genre to read is probably fantasy or historical fiction. My class's favorite books to read are humorous picture books! They love Mo Willems and David Shannon. (Who doesn't?)
